Here's a schedule of some of the past events:
Thursday afternoon I got back from Michigan, and immediately drove 10 prints from Janelle and Will's Trash Your Dress down to Creative Framing in Monroe for Kosal and Eric to frame. These prints are going on display in Janelle and Will's new clothing store, Gossip, in Wickford, RI!! HOW COOL?? I'll post a picture when they send me one. Since everything was so busy, I wasn't even able to see the finished frames before they were dropped off Sunday morning for Janelle.
Did I mention Sunday was Kosal's wedding....and they were still able to crank out 10 frames. I already got a text from Janelle saying how totally awesome they look, and I'm not surprised, Kosal and Eric do AMAZING work! When I need something framed, I just give Kosal and Eric the picture and have them do their magic on what they think will look best, and they always come out amazing!
Friday afternoon/night I shot Katie & Billy's rehearsal at St. Peter's Church in Danbury and then La Fortuna Restaurant in Bethel. It was definitely a fun night and I was able to get the slideshow done that same night so everyone could check out the pictures while getting ready!
Saturday was the wedding for Katie & Billy. I started shooting at 8:30 (normal time), but the cool thing was they live right down the street! We didn't figure this out until after we first met about a year ago to look over some of the sample albums...how crazy!! Everything about this wedding was beautiful. With about 300 guests, there were monstrous (like Circus size) tents in the back yard of Katie and Billy's new house. I'll post the pictures that I showed during the reception in the next post.
After I finished shooting at 2:30am Sunday morning (yep...18 hours of shooting!), I had to quickly download and backup my cards and get to sleep because I was shooting Sunday also. Shooting two weddings in a weekend is something I don't usually do, but because Kosal and Mariaelena's wedding was that date, I couldn't say no. Back when they were figuring out a date, they actually gave me 4-5 dates to see what I was available for since they HAD to have me as their photographer...I LOVE that :)
Sunday's wedding was also incredible in a very different way. Only about 60 people total, and the ceremony was right on the beach....as in I still have sand in my shoes :) It couldn't have been a more beautiful day for a wedding. After I posted pictures during the reception on my laptop, people couldn't stop coming up saying how awesome the pictures were, which we of course we love hearing! One couple, that wasn't even engaged yet, said that I will be the photographer for their wedding...after she gets the ring of course haha. I'll post the pictures I showed at the reception in a few.
Check back end of this week/early next week for the full slideshows of Katie & Billy and Mariaelena & Kosal.
